Bad Men and Breaking Mad

 

I finally got my act together and started watching Breaking Bad a few weeks ago. Something I noticed about Skyler White and Betty Draper:

In S02E04, Skyler White confronts Walter about his overzealous bullshitting, which is his obvious attempt to hide whatever’s going on… very reminiscent of when Betty Draper confronts Don about his lying (S03E11). I know the plot lines are completely different, but these two share similarities, both in character and context, at least up until their respective confrontations (I haven’t watched beyond this point in BB).

Betty and Skyler get a lot of hatin’ on the interwebs, and I have mixed feelings, but who doesn’t appreciate a bit of overdue ball busting?
